The City of Fullerton may be considering the sale of the Hunt Library, a gift to the city from Norton Simon in 1962. Simon was an entrepreneur, founder of Hunt Wesson Foods and a renowned art collector. The library was designed by William Pereira and is considered a mid-century modern masterpiece. Members of the Fullerton community are concerned about the long term preservation of the building as a community resource, and have established a group called Save the Hunt (www.savethehunt.com).
