The banner image above shows historic cottages at Crystal Cove State Park in Newport Beach, CA. In the summer of 2019, the State of California allocated $2.9 million for the restoration of 17 cottages on the beach. Run by the Crystal Cove Conservancy, the cottages “represent one of the few existing lower-cost coastal accommodations along the coast of California.” (Assemblywoman, Cottie Petrie-Norris, June 28, 2019)
